Subcommittee Chair Rotation
Given that membership on this committee is important to administrative units due to the policy-making
activities that affect all administrative units, the committee member rotation schedule shall be as follows:
- Original membership was determined by the original ITAC chair and was based on including the major
UF administrative units. These units shall be permanent members and may be represented by either the
department head or the department head’s designee. Each year, on or around June 30, the committee
will check with unit heads to determine the retention status of representatives.
- The committee may vote at any time to add major administrative units to its membership based on a majority
vote of those members present at any meeting. Once an administrative unit has been added they will be maintained as permanent members of the committee and
may be represented by the department head or the department head’s designee. Each year, on or around June 30, the committee will check with unit heads to
determine the retention status of representatives.
- In addition to the permanent administrative units, there are two rotating one-year member positions. Each year, on or around June 30, the committee will
seek the nomination of a representative from one of the following offices: University Athletic Association, University Alumni Association, Student Health
Care Center or Business Services. Additionally, each year on or around June 30, the committee will seek the nomination of one representative from a college
on campus. The committee will rotate membership through an annual vote to select the office and college that will have representation on the committee for
the upcoming year.
- Additional selected faculty and staff (with a maximum of two faculty members and one staff person) may be invited to participate as members of the committee for one-year renewable terms that expire on June 30. Newly selected members begin their terms on July 1.
Committee chair rotation will occur as follows:
- The committee will review the need to rotate the chair each June.
- Based on a majority vote of the committee members present the committee will vote to elect a new chair or continue the current chair.
- The current chair may only be continued if the chair agrees to continue serving.
- Chair nominees will be forwarded to the Associate Provost for approval.
