Business Administration - General Studies
College: Warrington College of Business Administration
Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration
Hours for the Degree: 120
Minor: No
Combined-Degree Program: No
Website: www.cba.ufl.edu/upb/programs/

The general studies curriculum combines business fundamentals with an outside area of interest. In addition to taking core business courses, general studies majors choose an area of specialization from over 70 disciplines, including foreign language, mass communications, international studies, travel and tourism, criminology, and exercise and sports sciences (refer to the college website for a list of pre-approved areas and course requirements). The general studies degree prepares students for a wide variety of business-related careers, for graduate studies in business and for graduate programs related to the area of specialization.

General studies majors are encouraged to gain practical work experience through internships and community service projects. In addition, the Warrington College of Business Administration offers students a wide variety of professional development and leadership opportunities, including study abroad, the Florida Leadership Academy, involvement in student organizations and research activities. Students should consult an academic adviser for specific information.
