Special Registrations


Common Features of All Special Registrations

  1. Academic Dates and Deadlines
  2. Proof of Immunization must be completed before registering
  3. Registration is space-available and must be completed by the deadline to avoid a $100 late registration fee
  4. Registration requires approvals before processing
  5. ISIS registration requires a GatorLink account (for user name and password)
  6. Course fees must be paid or fee waivers provided by the deadline to University Financial Services, 113 Criser Hall, or registration may be cancelled.
  7. Reinstatement will include a $100 late registration fee and a $100 late payment fee.


Florida Residents Aged 60 and Over Who Audit UF Courses

When students audit a course, they do not earn credits or grades. A transcript of audited courses cannot be produced. Students typically audit courses to make up incomplete grades or to further their knowledge of a subject without the requirement of an academic record.

  1. Complete the audit form.
  2. Obtain necessary signatures, following the instructions on the form, and return form to the Registrar’s Office in 222 Criser Hall.
  3. Deadline to complete audit form is the last day of Drop/Add. Select the relevant term for academic dates and deadlines.
  4. Florida residents aged 60 and over are not required to pay fees when auditing a course.
  5. Proof of immunization may be required. More information for non-UF students.
  6. Instructors who want to give Continuing Education Units for audited courses should submit a memo to the Registrar’s Office after completion of the course.

Correspondence Study

Students who wish to take courses for credit through self-directed study should contact the Division of Continuing Education at 352-392-1711.

State Agency Employees

Full-time state employees who have been admitted to a degree or nondegree seeking status are eligible for a fee waiver of up to six credits of UF courses per academic semester. This fee waiver form is not an application for admission, nor is it a request for registration. It is a request to waive course fees and it must be turned in to University Financial Services in 113 Criser Hall. To use the state employee fee waiver, please follow these instructions:

  1. Degree-seeking students must be admitted for the academic semester by the established deadlines before completing the fee waiver form.
  2. Nondegree students who wish to take classes using the state employee fee waiver must first complete the nondegree application.
  3. Proof of immunization is required before registering. More information.
  4. Once admitted to degree or nondegree seeking status, state employees must complete the fee waiver form.
  5. Not all courses are covered by the state employee fee waiver. Please consult the Schedule of Courses. Courses with a Y in the EEP column are generally covered by the fee waiver. NOTE: Some distance education courses and/or portions of course fees are not covered by the state employee fee waiver. Please consult the program coordinator about the courses you wish to take.
  6. Students are required to register for their courses on ISIS during Drop/Add. Students who register for the first time after the drop/add deadline will incur a $100 late registration fee.
  7. Students must complete the fee waiver form and turn it in to University Financial Services in 113 Criser Hall before the fee payment deadline. Failure to pay any portion of the fees for which you are responsible or completing this process after the fee payment deadline will result in a $100 late payment fee.

Full-time employees of Florida’s state universities (excluding UF) who have been accepted to a degree or nondegree- seeking status are eligible for fee waiver of up to six credits of UF courses per academic semester. More information.

UF Employee Education Program

Full-time employees at the University of Florida who have been accepted to a degree or nondegree-seeking status are eligible for up to six credits of tuition free courses per academic semester. The Employee Education Program form is not an application for admission, nor is it a request for registration; it is the request for university payment. Please read and carefully follow the instructions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fee liability and/or late fees.
